Under the title RELATE + SUPPORT RAL COLOURS provides a lively and adaptive colour range, matching the requirements of our time. The trend report is a design tool which both promotes and supports functional and sensuous-aesthetic design. The RAL COLOUR FEELING 2022+ of the Bonn, Germany based colour experts was developed again this year in close cooperation with the Institute International Trendscouting at the HAWK University of Applied Sciences & Arts in Hildesheim, Germany.
With RELATE + SUPPORT the new trend report offers professionals involved in design and architecture an exciting design tool, which not only offers inspiration in the short term, but also makes the work on projects easier in the long term. The 15-part colour matrix provides a wide range of suggestions for the atmospheric and function-oriented design of our environment.
The RAL COLOUR FEELING 2022+ colours have a wide range of use. They facilitate multifunctionality instead of polarity. Pleasant surface colours and coordinated tones can easily be combined to satisfy the requirements of human-centred design. Based on the systemic RAL DESIGN SYSTEM plus colour palette, the colour selection represents a basis that can be expanded or refined as desired by the designer depending on the context and project story.
The aim of RAL COLOUR FEELING 2022+ is not only to define trend colours for architecture, design, crafts or industry. The key target of the trend report is to develop an up-to-date colour profile which creates design opportunities instead of decreasing them. The colours selected for the trend report are based on the observation and assessment of the social, technological and design trends of the last 60 years up to the present day. The colour spectrum which has been developed additionally refers to fundamental design categories and detailed studies on the effect and perception of colour.
